Education

Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from Ithaca College.

Master of Computer Systems from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Paid

Corporate America – IBM. Experience in management, product forecasting and planning, teaching, and user interface design. Twenty seven years. Retired from corporate America in 2005.

Private investment and financial management. Managing investments and providing financial guidance to clients, by referral only. Ongoing, challenging, and rewarding.

Music. Taught piano in college (NY) and privately, coached pianists and singers getting ready for auditions, competitions, and concerts, and served as rehearsal pianist for all the major opera companies in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

I was honored to be asked to be one of the people interviewed in Bill Smoot’s book Conversations with Great Teachers (2010).

Mediation. Certified as a mediator by North Carolina. Mediated cases referred by the court system.

Volunteer work 

Teaching. Taught an economics module to junior high school students for Junior Achievement.

Mediation. Prepared a course for training new volunteer mediators for Wake County and used it to train them.

Guardian ad Litem. Certified by the North Carolina court system.

Current status

Residing in the Research Triangle Park area in North Carolina with my wife, I remain focused on my investment management business in addition to regularly assisting with babysitting our 5-year-old granddaughter twice a week.

In 2023 I became a great grandfather. I also had an article published in nextavenue: Unlearning Helplessness.
